Our goal is to provide high quality, affordable, home and handyman services to ensure greater safety and comfort for seniors wishing to live in their own home.
When you call us for a job or jobs to do around the house, we give you a rough idea of the amount of time it will take and the cost of materials. We then schedule you in to a period that suits you. We have a two hour minimum, so if it’s just a small job, we encourage you to think of other things that you would like done, in case we finish early. For larger jobs, or jobs outside of our normal area, we may charge for the time to source and get the materials and travel to the site. Of course, we inform you of all of this in advance.
2 hour minimum – $80 + HST + Materials.
Hourly rate after minimum – $40 + HST
Safety Audit & Comprehensive Report – $145 + HST
At the end of each work period we provide you with a written list of things accomplished and any and all required proof of work done/receipts/etc.
In cases where the senior can not pay our regular rates for required services, HSS Toronto has a community support program. This program results in 20% of our time and/or revenue being donated through discounting of prices, non-billed work while on site or, simply donations of time and materials when the lack of that support could hinder the senior’s safety, autonomy or accessibility.
